Canyon Dance Academy Introduces New Eight-Week Mini Session to Help Kids Find Connection Beyond Screens
CALDWELL, ID – Canyon Dance Academy is excited to launch a brand-new eight-week mini session this fall, created to give kids and families in Caldwell the chance to find real, face-to-face connection. In a world where so much of childhood revolves around electronics, YouTube and Xbox, these programs offer a welcoming space for children to meet new friends and have fun.
The mini sessions are short, flexible, and designed with busy families in mind. From October 1 to November 16, children and adults can join in fun, enriching classes like:
- K-Pop Dance – High-energy choreography inspired by global pop hits.
- International Dance Styles – Travel the world through cultural dances.
- Acting – Build confidence, creativity, and stage presence through theater.
- Adult Line Dancing – Fun, social, and a great way for adults to get moving.
- Chess Level 1 – Strategy and focus for kids ready to learn the game.
- Game Explorers – Explore a new board or card game each week.
Heather Jensen, Director of Canyon Dance Academy and mom of eight, shared why she created these programs:
“I saw how many kids—including some of my own—struggled to find activities they loved, especially those who didn’t naturally gravitate toward sports or dance,” said Jensen. “I wanted to create a safe, positive space where kids could try something new, discover what excites them, and most importantly, make real friends. These sessions are about more than learning a skill—they’re about giving kids a place to belong.”
Registration is now open, and class sizes are limited. Programs begin October 1, 2025 and run through November 16, 2025 at Canyon Dance Academy’s Caldwell studio.
