Why We Have a Dress Code
Our dress code isn’t about being strict—it’s about keeping dancers safe and helping them grow. The right clothing allows teachers to see proper alignment and technique, which makes learning easier and safer. In acro, it also ensures instructors can spot dancers correctly. For hip hop and breaking, the right shoes protect both the dancers and our floors so everyone can keep moving safely.
Toddler N' Me and Creative's
Pre-Ballet for 3 year olds
Dress Code: Any solid color leotard with pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes (no satin slippers) with hair off the neck.
Boys: form-fitting black pants, white shirt & black split sole ballet shoes.
Kinder Combo
Ballet & Tap combo class for 5-year-olds
Dress code: Any solid color leotard with pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes (no satin slippers) and black tap shoes. Hair in a bun.
Boys: form-fitting black pants, white shirt & black split sole ballet and black tap shoes.
Ballet Classes
Ages 6 and Up
Dress code: Black leotard with pink ballet tights and pink ballet shoes (no satin slippers). Hair must be in a bun. Ballerinas may wear a skirt to class.
Boys/Men in Ballet, levels 5 and up: form-fitting black pants, dance belt, white shirt & black split sole ballet shoes.
Jazz Classes
Ages 6 and Up
Dress code: Black leotard or fitted tank top/t-shirt, black dance pants or shorts (worn with tights). Tan jazz shoes. Hair must be off neck.
Boys: form-fitting black pants, white shirt & black split sole jazz shoes.
Hip Hop/ Breaking Classes
Ages 3 and Up
Dress code: Fitted black tank top or t-shirt, black dance pants or sweats, black sneakers.
This includes the Lil’ Hoppers class.
No street shoes. Dancers should wear shoes designated only for dance classes.
Tap Classes
Ages 6 and Up
Dress code: Black leotard or fitted tank top, black dance pants or shorts (worn with tights), black tap shoes. Hair up in a bun or ponytail.
Boys: form-fitting black pants, white shirt & black split sole tap shoes.
Musical Theater
Ages 6 and Up
Dress code: Black leotard or fitted tank top/t-shirt, black dance pants or shorts (worn with tights). Black jazz shoes. Hair must be off the neck.
Boys: form-fitting black pants, white shirt & black split sole jazz shoes.
Acro/ Tumbling
Ages 3 and Up
Dress Code: Students must wear tight-fitting clothing (leotards or biketards). Hair must be securely tied back. No footwear required.
Contemporary/ Modern/ Lyrical
Ages 6 and Up
Dress Code: Black shirt and leggings with bare feet or half-soles.
Boys: form-fitting black pants, white shirt & black split sole jazz shoes.
